STS-35 ASTRO-1 Hopkins Ultraviolet Telescope (HUT) processing at KSC O&C Bl

Description: In the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Operations and Checkout (O&C) Building high bay, the Hopkins Ultraviolet Telescope (HUT), suspended via an overhead crane, is positioned for installation on the STS-35 Astronomy Laboratory 1 (ASTRO-1) unpressurized spacelab pallet by technicians. ASTRO-1 will be loaded into Columbia's, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 102's, payload bay (PLB) for the STS-35 mission scheduled in April 1990. View provided by KSC with alternate number KSC-89PC-643.
