STS-55 MS3 Harris dons EMU with technician's assistance in JSC's WETF Bldg

Description: STS-55 Columbia, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 102, Mission Specialist 3 (MS3) Bernard A. Harris, Jr, partially suited in his extravehicular mobility unit (EMU), and a technician take a break from suiting procedures to watch nearby activity (out of frame) in JSC's Weightless Environment Training Facility (WETF) Bldg 29. Harris has donned the EMU upper and lower torsos which are not yet connected at the waist ring. Once fully suited in the EMU, Harris will be lowered into the WETF's 25-foot pool for an underwater contingency extravehicular activity (EVA) simulation. There is no scheduled EVA for the 1993 flight but each spaceflight crew includes astronauts trained for a variety of contingency tasks that could require exiting the shirt-sleeve environment of a Shuttle's cabin.
