Description: Astronaut William S. McArthur, mission specialist, participates in an experiment using the rebreathing assembly and a gas analyzer mass spectrometer that investigates in-space distribution and movement of blood and gas in the pulmonary system. The data gathered during the two-week flight will be compared with results of tests performed on Earth to determine the changes that occur in pulmonary functions.
