Strait of Gibraltar as seen from STS-58

Description: Atlantic water flowing with the tide throught the Strait of Gibraltar into the Mediterranean generates internal waves as depicted inthis photo. They can be seen in the Space Shuttle photo because of sunglint which reflects off the water. The Bay of Cadiz on the southwest coast of Spain, the Rock of Gibraltar, and Moroccan caost are also visible in this photo.
