Description: The new Get Away Special (GAS) bridge, able to carry a maximum of 12 GAS containers, will fly for the first time on STS 61-C. The aluminum bridge fits across the payload bay of the orbiter and offers a convenient and economic way of flying several canisters simultaneously.
